Since water discharged is periodically equalized by inflows from Blue Mesa Lake, Morrow Point Lake itself normally fluctuates very little. Along the walls of the canyon are the rocky pages of Earth's geologic history. in terms of man's experience, the antiquity of the canyon is staggering.
