whatever the number is, its way to freakin much. we should not be in the wars we are in, its also not relevant because the law says at any point they can spend up to 1 trillion dollars on the military

Defense actually only takes 19% of the budget. Social Security takes 24%, Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) takes 22%, safety net programs 12%, interest on debt 6%, Fed retiree benefits 8%, transportation 3%, Education
