When Crystal got to Las Pegasus she expected nothing more than what she saw, all the stores buzzing with customers, but Crystal was here for one shop only, maybe she'd get to see some of the other shops before she left. As Crystal approached the Kandy Kaleidoscope she expected nothing less, after all every one of the ponies she helped had recommended this shop to buy candy from for other ponies she helped and today was the day she would finally check it out and get some candy. When Crystal entered the Kandy Kaleidoscope, the fragrance of sweets made her mouth water, "Perhaps I might buy me some candy from here" she thought and giggled to herself. Also upon entering the Kandy Kaleidoscope a rather beautiful unicorn greeted her her mane was made up of yellow, orange, and black her mane was rather wavy and her eyes were a beautiful yellow, Crystal thought "Wow her eyes are so pretty!" "Oh no, I don't have a special somepony, at least not yet." Crystal replied smiling "I'm here buying candy for my job!" Crystal said "By the way, I've just got to say that your eyes and mane are rather beautiful, Ms." Crystal would smile and hold out her hoof "My name is Crystal Rain, but just call me Crystal please Ms."

Crystal would happily exclaim "Well you can just park it over at my house I don't mind whatsoever!" Crystal would forget about the tear that dropped down her cheek as she used her wing to wipe away what was left of it. "No, no Muziki, the pegasi do control the weather, but it does not rain crystals here!" Crystal giggled as she answered "As for food, we should go to my favorite café, c'mon ill lead you two there!" Crystal exclaimed as she started walking towards the café. "Also, you two should know, sometimes Princess Cadence will be at this café, me and her are pretty decent friends, and she's really amazing!" Crystal said happily as she trotted along, she looked around taking in the sight of the Crystal Empire, "No matter how long I live here I never get tired of how beautiful it is here." She said sighing.

For as much as Mars had said he didn't want to get dragged along the ground, that sure as sunshine was what had started to happen as soon as that line started reeling back in. Even the tree he'd once been holding onto had nearly been entirely uprooted, who knew what it would do to that rescue pony or her rescuee if they didn't have some kind of help! The diamond dog's hind paws dug deep into the mud as best as he was able, halting his return for the time being though skidding him slowly across the ground. He couldn't work fast right now, nor could he hold too tight lest the rope snap. The canine watched carefully as the two ponies were whipped around by the breeze, they were getting pulled back towards the ship as well, but without a steady hold, they were both at risk of getting slammed into any number of buildings or debris! Trudging through as best as he could towards the mares' rope, Mars would soon be just... close enough... to... "Gotchall!" wrap his arms around the windblown mares just as they slammed against his chest. With the two of them in tow, Mars would loosen his grip on the ground, skidding him back along towards the ship expediently as the rope was given sudden slack. It would keep the three of them safe from the worst of the winds for a few moments at least, until the upward drag would lift them all off the ground once again.

"Yeah, you are so right! I am very busy this time of year!" Crystal exclaimed, and laughed at Candy's joke "Yeah, this city is very full indeed of gimmicks, and I think that it's very lovely in here!" Crystal smiled. "These are Princess Cadence's Favorite's! She'll be so happy!! I will let her know!" Crystal said and started to pull out some bits to pay for the candy, as she listened, she couldn't believe that she herself, had just finished being an apprentice she was very mature, and very lovely with her personality and her looks. "Well, if you want to, we can go shopping and exploring the city, if you need help closing I'll be more than happy to help you it's really no problem!" Crystal exclaimed smiling from ear to ear with a grin, that could go on for miles! "Oh yeah, I bet you all get extremely busy, especially around this time of the year, but in general after all you are in Las Pegasus!" Crystal tilted her head to one side before saying "So would you like to come with me after your shift?"

"Oh no no Ms. Candy, I'm the cupid around the Crystal Empire" Crystal answered "Wow, Ms. Candy your sweets certainly are one thing that I could definitely fall in love with!" Crystal smiled and looked around the shop once more seeing how delicious her treats looked and how her mouth was watering "I'll take the best sweets that you have, your choice, because you are the candy expert after all!" Crystal said. "Also, I know it's probably not my business, but is there any ponies around here, that need help finding love? I know it's probably a long shot, but I want to help ponies everywhere I go!" Crystal replied smiling as big as possible. "I meant to say this as well, YOU ALL HAND MADE THIS, THAT IS AWESOME!" Crystal said with her mouth hanging open "Your outfit is also quite lovely! I meant to say that earlier as well, I just forget to say some things to be honest!" Crystal would look at the kisses "Could you wrap up a couple of those separate?" Crystal said pointing to the kisses and taffy "I need a snack for when I get back home, after all, and those look like they'd be my favorite's Ms. Candy!" Crystal said jumping up as if she were a filly.

Was it possible to escape one's past? Many ponies throughout history seemed to think so, though the ones that made it into the history books self-evidently failed to truly do so. You'd have to go fast, stay hidden, and not live long enough for it to catch. Spoiled Rich didn't count any of those three things among her future ambitions, so perhaps Niilaavin had a point there. At least, though, she could leave her name behind, perhaps her species as well. That begged the idea of what it was like to actually be a sphinx. History: Cadance was born to an unknown family who left her in the woods not far from a small town in a forest located along the Eponnine Mountain range. She was discovered by some logging ponies, who took them back to their logging camp/town. There she was raised not by one specific family but by a village of mostly working young stallions and the occassional mare, all whom ood's and awww'd over the little pegasus but were no good at being parents. Still, the village did the work well enough and Cadance got an education in what made family- not blood, but love. As she grew up she soon became a member of the community as equal as any other, with her boundless good cheer and energy winning over even the most stout hearted of timbermares. Over time she noticed a change in demeanor however and the camp grew more hostile over time. Eventually she saw somepony slinking away in the night and discovered that a scheming local Itailian sorceress named Prisima was using a necklace to steal the affections of others to power her own wicked ends. Cadance tried to stop her but the filly was not strong enough and too rash, and she soon found herself alone in the Eponnine mountains. It would have been easy for her to gallop away, deeper into Itaily and away from the danger, but she felt a surge of love for those she called family and went back into the lair. There, after a fight that was more a debate, it was the will of evil that fell and Cadance stood victorious. Showing mercy to her opponent, she lifted Prisima up. Cadance went to speak, but this magical surge of love transported Cadance to a strange place...the gardens of Canterlot Castle, on top of a table where she met a very surprised Princess Celestia, having tea with some delegates. Oh, and she had a horn, too. The next few days were the most important of her life up to that moment. After Celestia got over the shock of the transportation, then the fact there was now another Alicorn, she went to work on Cadance. The abandoned pegasus filly, raised by lumbermares and timbercolts, was soon adopted into Canterlot high society as the royal niece of Princess Celestia. She was given the best education possible, the best conditions possible for her, and she excelled. She was a ready and eager student in all the ways that Celestia cared for, and many others in which she did not. Especially when it came to affection. It took Cadance some time to understand just what her magic was, and when she did she was deemed the Princess of Love. This proved a foolish thing to disclose to the nation as she entered secondary education, with many a romantic misadventure, mistake, and plea vying for her divided attentions. During this time she was set up as a foal sitter for one of Celestia's brightest students, Twilight Sparkle, and met (and started flirting with) her older, very handsome brother. Once she finished schooling she found herself keeping in touch with him as he rose through the ranks, attending a few of his ceremonies, flirting, teasing, flirting some more, teasing, and generally making herself a nuisance for him. Respectfully. Of course, there was little else for her to do. For a while, her job was that of Celestia's proxy and other lower jobs. She didn't mind it- the relative ease of her workload officially allowed her to work more directly with the citizens of Equestria, and she was beloved for it. During this time she discovered a connection to the ancient Crystal Empire and their royal bloodline, with the rumors of a Crystal exodus having founded Roam only gaining in strangth. For now, that mattered little- what did matter? Well, she was dating Shining Armor- secretly, or as secret as she could make it- and over time they became engaged. One day she was invited to a meeting with a wedding planner- a wedding planner with an evil plan, in any case. The events of her wedding need no further elaboration. Afterwards, she spent some time with her new husband, basking in her new marriage and recovering from the emotions of the ordeal, not the least of which was helping Shining Armor himself. Just as they recovered, the Crystal Empire returned and Celestia sent her to stabilize- and then rule it, as part of her own discovered heritage. From then on, the rest is history. Character Personality: Princess Cadance is a warm and sociable mare. She thrives on social interactions and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Her warmth and openness make her approachable, and she intuitively understands social boundaries. On the other sideof the coin, she knows when and how and why to break these barriers to reach a more important emotional truth as needed. When in a group, she has an exceptional talent for reading the room and adapting to the emotional atmosphere. She always does her best in these settings to set an example of warmth and joy, and her innate good charm allows her to light even the darkest of hearts. She is extremely kind and compassionate to a fault. She genuinely cares about others and goes out of her way to help those in need, often to the extremes. Her love and care for others means she is willing to stick her hoof down and stare down the world for her family and subjects. When faced with adversity, Cadance remains steadfast. She doesn’t even consider giving up- indeed, for her family and subjects her will is utterly unbreakable. Cadance’s resilience is a testament to her inner strength. Few are the ponies who can gainsay her rule, and even fewer are those who would claim she does not listen to them acutely. Despite challenges, Cadance maintains an optimistic outlook. She believes in the power of love and unity and has spread this message as a creed to the Crystal ponies. Her positive attitude inspires those around her, especially during difficult times. Cadance’s unwavering hope contributes to the harmony of the Crystal Empire. She takes her duties to Flurry Heart seriously. As a mother, she is doting, considerate, and supporting. She works hard to ensure her daughter will grow up to be the best version of herself- kind, smart, brave, elegant, funny, and dutiful- that she can be. She also recognizes that this relationship will grow strange over time, as immortal beings she is prepared to take the steps necessary to make sure that Flurry Heart grows up well-adjusted. She loves her daughter more than she can describe, a fact which alarms and delights the Princess of Love every time she considers it. Her husband is, quite obviously, very important to her. She deeply loves Shining Armor and he occupies a place all to his own. There is no creature that has ever existed nor will again that moves her the way he does. Their love and support for each other strengthen their bond. Shining Armor is protective of Cadance, and she appreciates his unwavering loyalty. More than that, she is enamored with his parenting skills, his devotion to the Empire, and his endlessly warm soul. In the coldest of nights in the darkest of times, she will always have her Prince, and he will always be Shining Armor. She is adventurous and curious, and has a mind open to all manner of possibilities. As a Princess of Love she has heard many things; as ruler of an Empire she has heard many others. Few things shock her. And the things that shock her might just end up delighting her! Character Summary: Princess Cadance embodies love, leadership, and magic. As the ruler of the Crystal Empire, she ensures harmony, spreads affection, and protects her subjects. Her heart-shaped cutie mark symbolizes her unwavering commitment to love and unity. Whether calming a quarrel or celebrating a joyous occasion, Cadance’s presence brings hope and serenity to her subjects.

Spoiled listen to Niil's lament for lost times with more attention and sympathy than most would have thought her capable of. It must really be love between them, and she trusted that Cadence herself would assent. "I won't lie, there's a part of me that wants to say that there's a bright side in being able to make a clean break... but I'm not yet sitting on the opposite end of an unbridgeable gulf between myself and my past." She may well be about to leap across it, though, if the fortune-teller's words and previews meant anything. The thought was less pleasant than the sound of her new name and title in her mouth. "RaSha Jizara... I won't lie, it sounds even better than Mayor Rich. A much more prestigious position. It may be a while before I'm able to convince other people to use it for me, though. Perhaps, if that alchemist ever figures out that transformation..." She left off, not wanting to cruelly raise an unfulfillable hope.

Okay... now Tarot's behavior was really starting to get on Spoiled's nerves. Unreasonable overcharges, tasteless laughing, and as for this little 'on the house show'... The mayor watched through the whole thing with a flat expression, giving the the fortune-teller mare a look that would have pickled a ripe watermelon. "I don't know what that was all about; it had the air of something our resident princess would contrive to persuade a pony to change their ways, though I'm hanged if I can tell what that was supposed to show me, except that perhaps I'm making the right decision." It seemed that she wasn't in the mood to be rebuked from her current course of action right now, and this whole experience was just the sort of thing that would motivate some retaliatory red tape in giving the license Tarot had just signed for. Petty, perhaps, but mares in this town had to realize just what consquences upcharging city officials just because you thought they could afford it would being! Nevertheless, she did not lose her temper, just becoming frostily polite as she took her leave. Which, as Tarot might be able to tell, meant that nerves had been struck for Spoiled. "In any case, it was so delightful to welcome you back to town once again, madame. I trust that your future enterprise here will meet with the success that it deserves."

That's merely a trick of the lighting, I assure you!") Physique: Trim, but maternal, a mare who takes care of herself Residence: Zephyr Heights Occupation: Royalty, Mother, Celebrity-in-cheif Cutie Mark: Outspread Wings, with a crown above them Unique Traits: A spectacular sense of showmareship and panache! History: Her earliest memory was being inducted into the "Noble Lie." Nopony knew when exactly the pegasi had lost their magic, and with it the ability to fly. Nopony outside the walls of the palace knew that the Royal Family of Zephyr Heights had kept up the pretense they still could for as long as anypony remembered. That was just the world Haven Storm was born into when the then-rulers of the pegasi had their foal, and she took to it. Naturally, having to keep up a pretense at all times usually meant that the Royal Family kept out of the spotlight for as long as possible, but that was really not Haven's style. Even from a young age, she felt the eyes of the ponies around her, seeing their eyes light up just a little bit in seeing the 'last of the ponies that could fly.' It left a lasting impression on the future queen, and she vowed that not only would such a light never dim in their eyes, but she'd see to it that it shone as often and bright as possible! It was this realization that gave her a cutie mark, and set the path she would take as a Queen. Growing up, then, she would push for more public appearances, improvements in the wireworks, and positively relished the appearance of reporters, whereas her parents had been more stand-offish. Being half-celebrity, half-ruler where one's legitimacy was dependent on a fiction could leave one a little detached from the earth, and in all fairness, Haven could be a little disregarding of the ground truth of things, as it were. Style and substance were one thing in the palace; and this was the milieu she would raise her daughters in. Zipp was born first, and as the heir apparent, it was her that got most of the attention of the staff, and her mother, at first. She would have to keep the whole circus running after Haven, after all. To The Queen's surprise, however, it turned out to be Pipp, her younger daughter, who took after the lifestyle she modeled for them most, even keeping her dear old mum up to date on the new media landscape. Zipp was at least indulgent of her little sister's hogging of the limelight, though Haven would often worry about her cavalier attitude towards the whole show. In one respect, she had been right to worry, as one day, a couple of strangers, an earth pony and unicorn, showed up! Haven could not risk any panic to her subjects, and so had the spies detained in the dungeon (a much nicer fate than it sounds, Queen Haven being a believer in rehabilitative justice). But wouldn't you know it, but her oldest daughter not only released them, but joined them on a crazy quest to bring back magic, that involved the theft of her crown, the ruining of her younger daughter's big show, and the whole exposure of the fiction she'd spent her entire life upholding! Needless to say there were repercussions. Ponies are rarely kind to a liar revealed, and she soon found herself in her own jail cells! Fortunately, the inner loyalists among the show crew and palace guards, knowing that no state-provided massage chair would ever alleviate the stress of knowing her daughters were on the run, broke her out and they gave chase, all the way to Bridlewood forest, where she pleaded for her daughters to return home! And to return the crown, of course. And yet, that earth pony was able to convince her, just briefly, that magic could return. That the noble lie could be made true. Just long enough, in fact, for Haven to feel Sunny's crushing despair when joining the unicorn and earth pony crystals failed to bring it back. For one second, she'd had hope, had felt what it was that had led Zipp to spurn house, home, and stage for... magic? Or perhaps for a friend? Yes, a friend. A friend who would come running back to warn her and her family of danger. A friend who would brave that danger on a risk of one last shot. A friend who could show everypony the truth about each other, and what friendship could be. And in that moment, when she felt the wind beneath her wings for the very first time, and looked up to see Zipp and Pipp flying above her- They would be able to look down, and see in her eyes the same light she'd used to inspire. And now it need never go out! Character Personality: Queen Haven is not a bad ruler. She cares very much for the welfare and good opinion of the pegasi underneath her. It's just that she rather conflates the importance of the latter with the former. She keeps up appearances under all circumstances, and tends to trust in her ability to control the situation with soothing words, smoke and mirrors. Truth had always just been an incidental luxury to the needs of rule, and that habit is hard to break. But, being a loving mother, and a caring queen deep down, she is willing to open up to new friends, though it takes a bit to get her to take the mask off. Character Summary: Half-celebrity, half-ruler, all mother.
