>Anon meets Sunset while she was still Celestia's student >They have a foal together >Sunset runs away >Movie happens >Later, during a sleepover Sunset reminisces about Anon and their foal >That's the moment she's hit with the realization that her friends are teenagers ----- Expanding on >>35142919 real quick. Be forewarned, I am not the anon you are looking for. >There are two or three ways to go about this. >> A) There’s no time disparity between EQG!Equestria, and Twilight somehow never knew of Sunset Shimmer – probably because she didn't exist until that movie came to be. Possibility for angst is low here, but present. Their daughter would only be a few years old in this case, might even remember her ma, but Anon would still be pissed that he was left to weather this particular storm alone for as long as he was. >> B) There was, and still is, a time disparity between the two worlds. What was only a few years to Shimmy has been a decade-plus to Anon and their daughter, who I really need to name. Possibility for angst high, as any attempt to build a relationship with her daughter and flame is now tempered by such a long absence and the reality that, unless she sticks around, there's always a chance that timey-whimey bullshit will take place and any efforts made will be in vain because shimmy needed a few days her time to decompress. >> C) There was, emphasis on was, a time disparity between the worlds. Same as previous, but now with the hope that, even if she misses a day or two to handle her business over on her end, not all is lost. >I like the last one the most, the second one the least, and the first one somewhere between. >The first one allows for more character drama to be focused on Shimmy and Anon, as well as Anon and the Humane 6 – and the Mane 6, for that matter, if they weren't really aware of him. >I've always been a fan of righteous anger. >The second one has aspects of the third that I like but also opens itself up to unnecessary angst in the process, where the third just has its main course of the stuff without complications like Shimmy being held over by something – especially if that something is a particular Summer vacation. >The third one is where I'll be expanding most, especially since it has a defined status quo and an Anon whose reputation meter to Shimmy is going to be pretty far in the neg, but not in danger of going to much lower because she has a vacation to attend that'll turn out to be multiple years his time. >Anon is your typical Anon, if a bit older at the start of our illustrious tale. >Standard summoning bullshit is standard in the prologue. >Except, in this instance, his Twiggly Wiggly was a Shim Sham Glim Glam. >They 'court' because every unicorn at the academy seems to drop spaghetti like a Bistro chef with epilepsy. >A year later, Anon and Shimmy's crotch-goblin comes out looking pretty normal, if sporting standard half-human traits like sharp canines and a generally more predatory look. >All is good though, Shim Sham is the student of Celestia... until another few months later when she's an enemy of the state and Anon is left to be a father on his own. >Now then, Anon's daughter. She needs a name, she needs an appearance. >Let's go with Shimmy's color palette and general design, but swap the red with Anon-Green and give her shorter hair in the same typing – thanks to Aaon. >Now she's green and yellow, and can tick off our counter for anon's references to Earth. >Say hello to Mellow Sprite – named, secretly, after Non's two favorite drinks: Sprite and Mellow Yellow. >She loves her dad, but is worried for him. >He's not getting any older, and putting in four 12-hour shifts a week at the enchantment workshop (we'll get back to this in a bit) for the better part of 12 years is really taking its toll. >That he was barely given the same benefits and comforts of the other workers until his magic came in (we'll likewise come back to this in a bit), and that he had to carve out the runes and matrices by hand, doesn't help. >This is a driving motivation for the little gal – giving her father the comfy, colty life he deserves after working himself to marrow for more than a decade just to keep them housed and her in a good school. >Cause I'll guarantee you that Anon wouldn't be so stupid to leave the companionship he's found in the city, even at the cost of a higher cost of living, just to go see a town that won't even house the cast he knows for a few more years. >She will not take her mother showing back up very well, especially when she sees how much they look the same. >Anon has magic, he's had it for a decent length of time by the story's start. >Turns out, having your cells replace themselves every 7 years – a unique trait of our earth – Is really useful in adapting to new environments. >He got his abilities, relating to crafting because tools are kind of the shtick of humanity, after enough time filling his body with magical matter. >Before that, though, he was an alien colt in a workshop of unicorns doing menial task for menial pay. >Well, menial in terms of an important industry – a construction laborer still makes more than most certified nursing aides because he's in a more dangerous situation. >He was working at a desk meant for ponies until they finally went in and got him a proper human-sized workstation – which took more than a year and a half and only happened because inspectors were coming through. >His back and joints aren’t exactly doing too well. >Then his magic came in and he could carve out entire matrices, wholesale, with a bit of memorization and some FMA-style Clap Magic. All hail clap magic. >Needless to say, his pay was bumped substantially, he was given good benefits, and he was able to improve his and his daughter’s quality of living by a fair margin. All on his own! IdontNeedNoMare.Scroll >Still, those initial years, their strain on him, and the stress of being a good father and a single parent have all caught up on him. >It takes a bit more effort to get out of bed. His joints hurt sometimes. His back pops like… something that pops a lot and very loudly when he goes to move about his day. Also, grey hairs – shit looks good from actual aging, not when it’s from dying on the inside due to anxiety and mortgage payments. >He’s getting old and doesn’t qualify for a proper retirement package for another few decades. Shit’s wack, yo. Meanwhile, in EQG!Equestia… >Human 7 are having a sleep-over. >Typical shit goes on, especially the usual 3A.M. heavy-talk that comes up when you get together with a couple of close friends. >Sunset, instead of her normal, ‘I’m sorry about being a huge bitch and almost enslaving you all,’ bit is real fuckin quiet. >Someone, probably SciTwi, asks her what’s wrong. > Says she saw a girl the other day that looks about what she figured her daughter should look like right about now. Also that she misses her husband and feels bad about cheating on him by leading flash along. Fuck you, Flash. >Either she forgets that there was a time disparity, and that her daughter is actually 12 – thinking that Celestia had pretty much abandoned her immediately and thus opening up to a realization that she missed her daughter growing up and growing old with her husband; or she knows about it and it was someone in the age-range of AB, Scoots, and Sweets – adding to the fact that she left her entire life behind over something stupid. >Wut.wav >Everyone forgets that there bacon-haired friend is basically pulling a forever-15 situation after throwing a temper tantrum. >Kinda faggy, but fair. >Insert story of how they met, their love, confirmation to the humane 6 that there are multiple earths, dealing with SciTwi’s aneurysm at this incredible discovery, details relating to sex with a colt from a patriarchal society, birth of their daughter, etc. >Decides to set a meeting through Twiggly Wiggly, possibly bringing the Humane 6 along with her, and deals with the fallout of basically saying, ‘oh yeah, I left my husband to raise our daughter all on his own and honestly kind of forgot about him after you pardoned me. May have also, kinda-sorta cheated on him.’ >Meeting is set after a scene between Twilight and Sunbutt, then a scene with Twiggles, Sunbutt, Mellow Sprite, and Anon – where Anon has to convince Mellow to go along with it and Sunbutt confides in Twilight that Anon looked much younger last she’d seen him. >Meeting occurs, rebuffs happen, and story begins properly.
