Truth be told I think we are seeing this history repeat itself now. But the form it will take is more mass shootings, more OWS style sit-ins (coordinated and conservative in makeup) and general unrest. It will be the Repub version of the 60s.

Not really. The South was basically a wild mob that was stuck in the medieval past and de-evolved into a rogue country. They were like the first proto fascist nation. They even had the first concentration camps and they acted like terrorists.
