if marijuana was legal, then it would be illegal to fire someone for having it in their system. someone would have to have levels high enough to prove they are intoxicated, because having a trace of it in your system doesnt affect safety or work at all.

the f***ed up thing about it is that speed and other drugs pass out of the system within 12 hours. marijuana stays in long after the user has sobered up. drug testing is just discrimination against people who choose pot in favour of harder drugs.

the reason you have to do a urine test to go to work, but welfare recipients dont, is because the government cares more about your privacy and freedom than your employer does. its why the government has a constitution and your employer doesnt.

agreed. Many companies have a policy to test for drugs/alcohol with any accident. I'd say make it mandatory for any police shooting or beating/violence...

I think any law enforcement officers should be tested regularily because I know of a few cops that are coke heads 7 the last thing I want is a cop that is drugged up aiming a gun at me.....
