[Twilight 1] “No, that’s not it.” >Twilight groans as she scratches out another line of lyrics. >Nothing is working for her tonight, as though all the magic in the world wouldn’t be enough to compete with the Sirens. >Why did it have to be music-based magic? >Anxiety knots itself in her stomach before she shakes it off and grits her teeth. >A little more; just a little bit more. >The answer’s sure to be with in her reach if she just- >“Hey Twilight.” >The pony-turned human freezes at the unexpected sound; her eyes wide and mouth hanging ever so slightly open as the pen drops from between her lips and clatters against the counter. >Gulping, she turns towards the door and sees a rather tired looking Sunset Shimmer smiling at her. >“You’re up late.” >The Equestrian visitor nods, tearing her eyes away from Princess Celestia’s former protégé and looking back to the lyrics she’s been struggling with. “Just, trying to get a grasp on the counter-spell.” >Sunset approaches the table but Twilight instinctively leans forward over the scratched up paper, offering up a sheepish smile. >The one-time-pony frowns, but walks past anyway and opens up the refrigerator. “After all, we only get one shot at this.” >The red-headed girl’s smile returns as she looks back at her previously pony pal. >“We really are lucky you’re here.” >Twilight sighs as Sunset’s nose wrinkles. “That’s what everyone keeps telling me.” >“Who could possibly need so much whipped cream?” >Despite the rather somber atmosphere, Twilight bites back a giggle. >Pinkie Pie is Pinkie Pie, no matter what world. >The tired transformed teen watches as Sunset roots around in the fridge, saying something about the lyrics, or Twilight’s current predicament and the weight that must be on her shoulders. >Honestly though, the purple-haired girl would rather talk about anything else but those two topics. >If anything, a break from them might give her a clue as to what it is that she needs to complete the counter-spell. >So, she decides to change the focus to Sunset. >After a quick glance over the reformed rebel, Twilight settles on a new line of conversation and decides to start probing her companion. “Sunset?” >The green-eyed girl turns with a grunt of surprise and a sheepish smile; a thick wad of whipped cream resting along the length of her thumb. >“What’s up Twilight?” “Have you gotten taller?” >Sunset’s finger misses her mouth completely, smearing the cream along her lips, around her mouth, and along her cheek as she chokes. >“Wh-what would make you think that?” >The girl’s eyes fall to the former bully’s middle, and Sunset feels her own gaze being drawn downward as well. >They both stare at her exposed navel for a few moments, before the flustered female gives a quiet laugh and waves her hand back and forth. >“Oh, that? Come on Twilight, it’s, um, totally human fashion now to show off a little skin.” “Well what about these?” >Still pressing, Twilight moves closer and tugs on the sleeves of Sunset’s purple top. “They hardly come halfway down your forearms and they look so snug.” >Sunset struggles, stammering stupidly as she tries to piece together some line of coherent thought. >Which gives the purple provoker a chance to get an up close and personal look at the girl’s clothing. >The sun symbol in the center of her pajama top, reminiscent of Sunset’s cutie mark, seems a little warped over her chest, as the flames on the sides seem longer than the vertical ones. >Not to mention the small signs of strain surrounding Sunset’s rather impressive bust. >Twilight brings a hand up to her own breasts, feeling a little self-conscious at their lack of size before reaching out and- >“T-T-Twilight, d-” >Sunset whimpers as the other pony-girl gives her breast a second squeeze, but the visiting Princess is far too enamored with her latest observations to notice. >Through a series of awkward gropes, with hands that seem less inclined to do as she would like than usual, Twilight struggles to palm Sunset’s sweater puppies. >Granted, her own hands aren’t especially large and perhaps Applejack might have more success, but the truth of the matter would remain the same. >Sunset is stacked. >“Twi…” >The breathless sigh of the other girl’s voice snaps Twilight back to reality. >Looking up, she sees that Sunset is beyond red-faced, her green eyes averted as she squirms under the Princess’ prolonged touch. >“Could you, move your hands?” “Oh, right.” >Twilight gulps and jerks her hands away, earning a relieved sigh from the redhead. >There’s a twinge of regret as their rather enjoyable weight disappears, but the memory of their softness remains. >Of course, with her palms no longer covering Sunset’s chest, Twilight’s treated to a view of two rather stiff indentations in the other girl’s shirt. >As such, it takes a supreme act of Princessly strength for Twilight to pull her eyes away and stumble back to the countertop. >Taking a few seconds to catch her breath, Sunset then closes the refrigerator door, visible gooseflesh still running down the length of her bare arms, and around her exposed middle. >As she washes the sugary mess off her face in the sink, Twilight gulps and decides to press a little more. “So, when did you notice?” >“Notice what?” “Sunset…” >The redhead sighs, wiping her mouth and looking over her shoulder with a small frown. >“A few days after the Fall Formal; I just woke up and realized that everything felt odd when I tried to wear it. It’s only gotten worse since.” >Sunset makes a motion towards her bared middle. >“As you can probably see, it’s gone from mild discomfort to poorly fitting clothing.” “And you’ve already gone through the human maturation process?” >“Puberty?” >Twilight nods, and Sunset sighs. >“Yeah, as if you need to remind me of that terrifying time.” >With a hum and another nod, Twilight turns to a new page, places the pen between her lips and begins writing. >At once, Sunset scowls and moves over, snatching the writing utensil away, much to Twilight’s irritation. “Hey!” >“Hey yourself. Ask all the questions you like, but I’m not going to become some cross-dimensional science project!” “But don’t you want to know what’s happening to you?” >The fiery girl’s expression softens as Twilight frowns up at her. >“Well, of course I do.” “Then why don’t you let me help you? After all, if this is magical in nature, then there are no two minds better suited in this world to figure it out.” >After a moment of thought, Sunset nods and hands the pen back to the Princess. >“Alright, but I don’t think that we’re going to make any headway. I’ve been dealing with this for a while now and I still can’t figure it out.” “Well, they say that two heads are better than one, so don’t lose hope yet.” >Twilight offers a conciliatory smile, which Sunset returns as best she can. >“All right, then where do we begin?” “I suppose the best place would be on the night of the Fall Formal.” >Sunset bobs her head and Twilight continues. “You’ve had a while to think about what happened, do you remember anything specific?” >“Aside from the guilt and shame of not only threatening you, but then hypnotically ensnaring the entire school, and turning into a raging she-demon? No, I’d say that pretty much covers it.” >Sunset’s expression falls as she leans onto the table and buries her face in her arms. >The Princess gives her a conciliatory pat on the head. “I think we all remember that, but I’m thinking something that’s specifically related to you. Maybe when you put on the crown?” >“Power.” >Glancing up from behind her arms, the green-eyed girl gives Twilight a serious look. >“I remember feeling genuinely powerful for the first time in since I left Equestria. Not that I was a slouch as a unicorn, but it had been ages since I felt so supremely self-confident in my abilities. I was feeling real, Equestrian magic through my body.” >Twilight frowns, but continues writing before asking the next question. “And after we stopped you?” >Her lips turning down slightly, Sunset looks thoughtful and then shrugs. >“Well, I didn’t really feel like I’d been beaten at first; if anything I felt like there was even more that I could do. My whole body tingled with more magic than I could have possibly imagined; it was practically oozing out of my fingertips and I thought I was going to burst! Then the rainbow stopped and so did that feeling. And you know the rest.” >Twilight writes a little while longer before dropping the pen and looking over her notes. “That-” >Sunset leans in closer, both of them reading the page before their eyes meet again. “That really doesn’t help much.” >“Ugh.” >Dropping her head back against the table, Sunset sighs. >“Well, I appreciate the attempt.” >Twilight gives the girl another pat on the head. “There, there, I’m sure that we’ll figure out something before I go back to Equestria.” >“I sure hope so, because when you came through the portal, I could almost feel my shirt tighten.” “Well, we’ve figured out that it’s probably magic-related then.” >Twilight giggles. >After a moment, Sunset smiles and joins in. >“Now we just need to find out why it’s happening.” “We will.” >“You’re sure you have time for this? I’d hate to distract you from focusing on the counter-spell.” >At the redhead’s serious expression, Twilight feels her belly knot itself a few times, but she waves her off all the same. “I’m sure that things will work out fine; besides, what are friends for?” >Sunset’s face goes hot as she nods and looks away, muttering. >“Well, I appreciate it. Don’t hesitate to come to me if you get stuck and don’t know where to go for a lead.” “And the same to you if your situation gets worse.” >Both girls smile at each other before Sunset gets up and walks to the door. >She pauses at the hall and glances towards Twilight. >“Coming back to the bedroom? The girls might miss you if you’re not there when they wake up.” >A sheepish smile is the best the Princess can offer in response. “I’d like to, but I need to stay up a little longer and work on the counter-spell. I’ve got a few ideas I’d like to test out.” >Cocking her hand on her hip, the redhead shakes her head and smiles. >“I remember being that studious. Well, don’t stay up too late; there’s more to singing than just writing lyrics, and that includes a good night’s sleep.” >Twilight waves her off with a laugh and the two ponies-turned-girls part ways. >It is much, much later when a heavy eyed Twilight stumbles back into Pinkie’s bedroom. >High stepping her way through the mass of bodies, the Princess flops down onto her designated sleeping spot and closes her eyes. >Tonight was a bust for the counter-spell, but Twilight can’t help feeling that she made a little progress with Sunset Shimmer. >Hugging her pillow close to her body, the girl smiles and drifts off to sleep. >And is almost immediately awakened by a series of shakes. >“C’mon Twilight, quit fooling around.” >The light drawl of Applejack’s voice snaps Twilight’s bleary eyes open. >Aside from the smearing sensation of light all around her, the visitor from Equestria can only make out the faintest of shapes as a few of her friends hover over her. >“Oh dear, you look absolutely exhausted. We simply must do something about those circles under your eyes.” >“Cut it out, Rarity, none of us are gonna do anything until we get Sunset outta that bathroom!” >As the cowgirl chides their fashionista friend, Twilight blinks a few times to clear her vision. >The two are still bickering off to the side as Rainbow leans over into Twilight’s field of view. >“Oh good, you’re up.” “Sort of.” >Sitting up, Twilight rubs at her forehead and groans. “What’s going on?” >With a roll of her eyes, Rainbow jerks her thumb towards the hall. >“Sunset’s locked herself in the bathroom and won’t come out. She keeps asking for you.” >Panic rumbles inside Twilight’s stomach again as she clambers to her feet, nearly knocking Rainbow to the ground in the process. >Hurrying past an anxious looking Fluttershy and an even more agitated Pinkie Pie, she knocks on the bathroom door. “Sunset Shimmer?” >“Twilight?” >With a sigh of relief, the Princess smiles. “I’m here.” >“A-” >There’s a momentary pause as an audible gulp escapes the other side. >“Are you alone?” >Shooing her snooping friends back with a wave of her hand, Twilight nods. “I’m here.” >The door creaks open just a touch and Twilight sees a familiar green eye peek out. >It darts about a few times and, once satisfied, it disappears. >“Okay, you can come in, but only you.” >Twilight gives her five friends a warning look before slipping inside and closing the door behind her. >The sound of labored breathing comes from the toilet behind her. >“When you look, d-don’t freak out, okay?” “We talked about this last night Sunset; I’m not going to make a big deal out of this.” >Taking a deep breath, she turns around. >Her jaw drops. “Oh Celestia…” >“You said you wouldn’t.” >Sunset mutters to herself as she squirms on the lid, as if trying to hide herself from Twilight’s probing eyes. >It’s not very successful. >Her once fitted pant legs now appear to be a pair of high waters, revealing at least a quarter of her calf to the world. >The space between the waist of her pants and the hem of her shirt has grown as well, where before it was only three finger widths, now Twilight imagines she can fit her entire palm on the exposed flesh, and then some! >Likewise, Sunset’s sleeves are now up far closer to her elbows, the tighter seams straining towards the front with the sudden surge of size. >But most of all… >“Twilight” >Sunset whimpers, crossing her arms over her chest. >However even the simple motion fails to contain them, as they move to spill out over the top of her arms. >“Help…” [Rarity] >Outside the bathroom, Rarity waits with the other four girls, tapping her foot against the carpet. “Well, those two are certainly taking their time.” >Pinkie Pie bounces around from one foot to the other, whimpering in protest. >“The only way this could be any worse is if she started running water!” >With a slight click of her tongue, the pale girl frowns at her frizzy-haired friend and shakes her head. “Pinkie, you must calm down; you are a lady after all.” >“A lady who has to GO!” >Rarity rolls her eyes but offers a gentle smile and pat on the shoulder. “There, there, I’m sure that Twilight will be able to coax Sunset out, tout suite.” >The bouncing girl gives a slight whine just before the doorknob jiggles. >Five pairs of eyes are drawn to the door as it opens with a creak, Twilight quickly stepping out into the hall again. >She leaves her hand on the knob, a small wedge of light visible beyond the crack between the door and the frame. >Taking a deep breath, she addresses them. >“Girls, something’s gone wrong.” >“Wrong how, Sugar Cube?” >Trust Applejack to cut right to the heart of the matter, though Rarity isn’t much feeling like pussy-footing around either. “Yes darling, what’s happened to put Sunset Shimmer in such a state?” >With a concerned frown, Twilight looks around and continues. >“In all honesty, I’m not sure.” >A quiet groan echoes up from Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. >Twilight scrambles to recover their attention. >“But, what we know now is that it has something to do with magic. Probably.” >“Probably?” >Rainbow groans again. >“Probably’s not any better than not being sure!” >“I know, I know.” >Waving her hand, Twilight sighs. >“But I think I can work out what’s happening, if I have enough time.” >The group lapses into silence for a moment before Rarity steps forward. “What do you need from us, Twilight?” >A look of relief spreads across the pony Princess’ face. >“Your understanding, for starters, and your assistance would be helpful as well.” >Pursing her lips, the fashionista nods, and is quickly joined by the other four girls. >Taking a deep breath, Twilight bobs her head as well and releases her grip on the doorknob. >“Sunset? You can come out now.” >After a long moment of stillness, the door opens further and the redhead steps out into the hall. >As she does, mouths fall loose. >Eyes widen. >And words seem to catch in the throat of every girl present. >At least until Pinkie breaks the silence. >“Dibs!” >Zipping by Sunset, she quickly locks herself in the bathroom, much to the distress of an anxious Fluttershy. >Well, that was hardly the way this conversation should have begun. >Rarity sighs and tries to drink in the differences surrounding the former fiend-turned-friend. >Plainly obvious are the two sizeable melons attached to her chest, obvious enough to send a pang through Rarity’s small breasts and right into her heart. >But more than that, Sunset’s once modest height, which barely had her clearing the diminutive Dash’s stature, now threatens to rival Applejack’s solid frame. >Perhaps it was even a challenge to her own position as the tallest of the group! >And, as a result of the rapid growth, Sunset now looks the part of a girl trying to fit into the previous season’s clothing line. >From three years ago. >Turning to Twilight, Rarity attempts to enquire again. “What exactly happened to her?” >“She grew.” >Sunset blushes at the rather blunt response from the Princess before cutting into the conversation. >“That’s all we know for now, at least. Believe me; I’m more curious to find answers than anyone else. But I’ve got bigger problems at the moment.” >With a small huff, the fashionista nods. “You certainly do; I doubt that anything in your wardrobe will fit you at this point.” >The redhead nods, and Rarity looks to the other girls. >Well, no time to take charge like the present. “If it’s all right with all of you, I’d like to take Sunset to the Boutique. Our first priority should be getting her dressed in more suitable attire, and see if we can pull any attention away from her-” >Words fail the purple-haired girl for a moment as she waves her hand in the air. “Growth spurt, I suppose.” >A look of relief crosses the faces of both the pony-girls. >The door opens behind them and Pinkie trots out, looking very satisfied with herself. >“That’s bet- Woah!” >She gawks up at Sunset, then smiles. >“Hiya, Sunny! How’s the weather up there?” “Pinkie, don’t embarrass the poor girl.” >Rarity sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose. “But, would you be a dear and get me one of your father’s rain jackets?” >“Okie dokie! But what for?” >Patting her plucky friend on the cheek, the pale girl smiles. “Why, smuggling Sunset out in public, of course.” >With a nod and a bounce, Pinkie hurries off towards the coat closet. >Twilight makes a small motion with her hand, pulling the girls in close. >“So it’s settled; Rarity will help Sunset get her clothing situation under control, and the rest of us will go about our day as normal. Remember, the Dazzlings are still out there, so we need to be extra cautious about not letting on that we have magic.” >The girls nod together as Pinkie comes back with a rather gauche jacket. >Rarity can almost feel her skin crawl as she handles the worn, rough fabric, but it does its duty and hides most of Sunset’s expanded frame from view. >The two girls gather their things and head out as the rest of the group begins to map out their plans for the day. >Thankfully, it’s still early enough in the day where there are few residents out and about, making the trip both brief and uneventful. >A quick round of fumbling with her keys later and Rarity is locking the door behind the two of them. >A stray shade is quickly pulled down, leaving only the artificial light to fill the room. >With a sigh of relief, she smiles at Sunset. “Well, that was certainly an adventure, don’t you think?” >“I suppose.” >Sliding a few stray hairs behind her ear, the redhead glances around the Boutique with an uncertain frown. “Well, let’s not waste any time, chop-chop.” >Clapping her hands together twice, Rarity smiles. “Slide that filthy thing off and we will get you into something far more fitting for your figure.” >Sunset obliges, hanging the coat on a hanger by the door and following the pale girl towards the center of the store. >She winces in irritation as a few seams pop along her arm, leaving her sleeves to hang looser than they had a short while ago. >“This is getting really obnoxious.” >Bringing a fabric pencil to her lip for a moment, Rarity’s brow furrows before she smiles and flicks the end at Sunset a few times. “Well, if it’s causing you that much trouble, why don’t you shed those as well?” >The color draining from the pony-girl’s face brings a bubbling laugh up, unbidden, from Rarity’s belly. >“What!?” >Catching her breath, the fashionista smiles and walks around Sunset with a discerning eye. “Come now, dear, it’s not like you have anything to be ashamed of; after all we are both girls here. Besides, wouldn’t you feel better if you could breathe a little easier?” >Despite her anxious looks, the redhead eventually nods and steps out of her pajama bottoms. >Immediately, Rarity’s eyes begin to slide up and down the exposed skin noting, with some displeasure, that in addition to being longer, the grown girl’s lower body seems somehow firmer and more supple than their previous encounters. >Perhaps not quite the legs of a dancer or model, but certainly begging to be touched. >And the way her underwear is pulled up snug, cutting into her hips, well that simply won’t do at all. >Which, brings up another question for the fashionista. “Sunset?” >“Hm?” “You aren’t” >A brief pause as Rarity struggles for a tactful way to ask her question. >It doesn’t come and so, with a weary sigh, she asks “You aren’t still wearing your bra, are you?” >The look of shock on Sunset’s face is enough to give her the answer. “Well, that’s enough of that then. Off with your top and let’s take a look at the damage.” >There’s a small nod as the half naked girl pulls her pajama top over her head. >Or, tries to. >Her expanded frame makes it somewhat difficult, but after several seconds of wrestling, Sunset finally gets the hem of the shirt over her head. >As she works to untangle her arms from the too small sleeves, Rarity gives a quiet sigh of disapproval. >Sure enough, Sunset’s purple, cotton bra is far too small and forcing up a tremendous line of cleavage that threatens to overwhelm her collarbone. >In that case, her earlier estimates regarding the size of the girl’s chest are probably inaccurate. >Which, again, has her resisting the urge to grind her teeth in frustration. >Why always the bad girls? >“Rarity?” >Snapping out of her daze, the pale girl sees Sunset standing before her with an anxious grin. >“Could I get you to help me with my bra? I, I think it’s stuck.” >As she circles around, Rarity sees that the band has indeed passed the point of acceptable stress. >Torn seams, visible signs of strain within the band itself. >Simply put, there is absolutely no salvaging it. “I hope you aren’t especially attached to this garment, darling.” >“Why’s that?” >With a flourish, Rarity takes her scissors and cuts the band with a single snip. “That’s why.” >Even from behind, the sudden weight of gravity is noticeable on Sunset’s body. >The outer slopes of her breasts fall until they hang just outside her chest, pressing into her arms as if demanding some form of contact at all times. >The redhead gives a sigh of relief, lifting her head up towards the ceiling and groaning. >“Oh. Oh wow, that’s worlds better.” >With a giggle, Rarity twirls her scissors and smiles. “I thought you would have realized already that I’m a magician when it comes to clothing. Now, let’s get you something that fits a little better.” >Sunset nods, allowing the charming clothier to work her magic, measuring, writing, grumbling and measuring again. >And the groping. >There’s a great deal of groping. >Much as she doesn’t want to admit it, Sunset’s sizeable breasts feel absolutely wonderful in Rarity’s hands. >The way the flesh seems to fill in the space between her fingers when they spread is almost heavenly. >But, she is a professional, and does her best not to goose Sunset. >Too much. >And as she works, the two of them talk. >That in itself is hardly unusual; Rarity had gone to great lengths to try and make sure that Sunset had some measure of comfort after the Fall Formal. >But even still, how often did the two of them find time to spend alone together? >The other girls, bless their hearts, always seemed to be far more interesting than Sunset. >Now however, Rarity wasn’t so sure. “And so you were a student to a Princess?” >“Just like Twilight.” “I am so incredibly jealous. The best that I can manage is a summer internship with a low-level fashion designer; a Princess is simply too far out for me to even imagine.” >A sheepish smile slides across Sunset’s face as Rarity hands her a pale yellow dress that settles around her knees. >“Well, seeing Twilight now kind of makes me wish I’d stuck out through the lessons; maybe then I’d be the Princess of Friendship. Or at least something more than a high-school student.” “Perhaps.” >Rarity frowns, letting her eyes roam Sunset’s figure before shaking her head. “No, that’s far more Fluttershy’s style than your own. But back to the point, if you had stayed, then you wouldn’t be here now.” >“Some people might think that’s the better option of the two.” >Jerking her gaze upwards, the pale girl prepares to tear into her friend, but pauses as she sees the sly smile on her lips. >Despite her sudden indignation, Rarity dismisses it with a smile of her own. “Quite the clever joke, darling; but even if they were to say that, I would disagree.” >Sunset strips out of the dress, her matching black bra and panty set hugging her body like a second skin. >“Oh? Why is that?” “Well, without you none of us would have met Twilight.” >Seeing the redhead flinch, Rarity opts out of dragging dialogue out further and goes straight to the point. “And if that had not happened, then Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and myself may have eventually drifted apart on our own. After all, we hardly have anything in common aside from our strange friendship.” >“Which I broke.” “And have since helped to mend.” >Reaching out, Rarity cups Sunset’s cheek and locks eyes with her. “You certainly did some foul, hurtful things to us. But without you, I don’t think I could have ever learned how much those other girls mean to me.” >Sunset’s face tenses. >“So I’m just the means to the end?” “No!” >Pulling the redhead close in a half hug, Rarity sighs. >For a moment, she loses track of her train of thought, feeling the warmth of sweater flesh sandwiching up between the two of them. >Both girls stand still, red-faced and barely daring to breathe. >But finally Rarity does. >And the words flow out easily. “The grief I have seen you put up with reminds me to mind my words, and the grace with which you handle each day is more than admirable.” >Sliding her thumb along Sunset’s cheek, the pale girl smiles. “You are a vibrant, colorful girl, and I am pleased to count you among those special friends of mine.” >There’s a quiet murmur of thanks from the still blushing girl, but it’s enough to make Rarity’s heart soar. >She holds her position, savoring the sensation of Sunset’s sizable breasts pressing against her own petite chest or a while longer, before shaking her head and smiling. “Now, back to dressing, hm?” >In the end, they settle on something familiar rather than something flashy and new. >While not the largest fan of black leather jackets, Rarity did keep some in stock. >The men’s size hangs somewhat loosely even around Sunset’s broadened shoulders, but rests closer to her hips than the shorter women’s length, and the additional length in the arms assists in making her seem less conspicuous. >Likewise, she was able to let out Sunset’s skirt, allowing her to slip it on with a degree of comfort. >The fitted t-shirt however, was utterly unusable. >Instead, they opt for a somewhat dressy purple, sleeveless top. >Aside from the lack of a sunny decal, there will be no way to tell that she is wearing anything different when worn with the jacket. “Considering we don’t know if you’ll go through another, ah, spurt, it seems it would be best to give you room to breathe.” >Rarity makes a show of toying with the hem of the top, showing that it was indeed airy enough to accommodate any sudden changes in size. >Sunset laughs and shakes her head. >“Well, if it’s up to me, I’m quite happy not to have to go through this again.” “Come now, you cannot say that this morning has been all bad.” >The girl flashes a wry smile and shrugs. >“The company was nice, and I wouldn’t mind doing that another time.” >Rarity chuckles and shakes her head. “Well that makes two of us. I suppose we had best get along to school, otherwise the girls will start to worry.” >“Do you want to go together?” >Pursing her lips, the pale girl gives a shake of her head. “Not unless you want to wait; I believe I’ll take time to clean and make myself up before leaving.” >Sunset gives a small nod, though she doesn’t look especially pleased with that response. >The two exchange goodbyes and Sunset leaves, the door bell jangling as she goes. >With a sigh of relief, Rarity saunters up to the living area above the Boutique and goes about her morning routine. >But as she strips down for her shower, she stares at her chest for a moment. >Something seems a little off. >Still, after several moments of staring and being unable to place what’s wrong, she shrugs and steps into the shower, smiling. >Even though she has been a lot of trouble in the past, it’s good to have a friend like Sunset Shimmer. >Sometime later, Rarity steps out of the bathroom, towels wrapped tight around her bust and her hair. >Her phone chirps, drawing her attention away from the closet. >On it, a series of three quick messages from Fluttershy. >‘Rarity, something’s wrong with Sunset.’ >‘Again.’ >‘Please get to school as soon as you can.’ >Biting her lip, Rarity unconsciously massages one of her tender breasts. “Oh dear, that doesn’t sound good at all…” [Fluttershy] >Oh dear. >Oh dear, oh dear. >What an absolute disaster. >Fluttershy chews on her lower lip as she paces around the empty classroom. >Well, nearly empty. >“Fluttershy, could you stop that? You’re making me nervous.” >She glances over to her companion. >Sunset Shimmer. >Despite her predicament, the leggy lady seems less worried than she probably ought to be. >At least less worried than Fluttershy herself. “If any time is a time to be nervous, I think it would be now.” >Sighing, the pink haired girl sits down at a desk near her friend and looks her over. >The growth from this morning had been a surprise, certainly. >Sunset had gone from being a slight bit shorter than the shy girl, to all but towering over her. >Granted, Fluttershy’s eyes had actually been level with her lips, but Sunset somehow still retains a bit of that imposing presence that makes her seem impossibly large. >Now that she actually is taller, it’s just compounded. >Only… >Somehow, since leaving the Boutique, Sunset seems to have gained a little extra height. >Indeed, when standing side by side, Fluttershy’s eyes are even with the taller girl’s shoulders. >And all of it seems situated in Sunset’s torso and arms. >Fluttershy puffs out her cheeks in a mix of irritation, exhaustion, and envy as she eyes up the girl currently kicking her boots in the air. >The redhead’s height is hardly the most noticeable thing about her, but considering that Rarity just set her up with a new outfit… >“So, no offense, but are you going to stare at me the whole time until help comes?” >The pink-haired girl squeaks, meeting Sunset’s eyes. “Oh, sorry; I was just thinking.” >“It’s fine; I know I look a little strange.” “I, I wouldn’t say that you look strange, just different.” >Sunset smiles, her cheeks lighting up a little. >“Come on Fluttershy, you don’t have to tiptoe around the issue. I look like something out of a fetish magazine.” >She did. >Not that Fluttershy would know anything about those kinds of things. >She sighs, unable to tear her eyes away as Sunset gets to her feet and stretches her arms over her head. >After her latest round of growth, the redhead might have already left Applejack and Rarity behind, and be ready to compete with the twin towering Principals. >Sunset’s chest doesn’t seem too much larger, thankfully. >Not that Fluttershy was envious; she knew first hand how difficult it could be to have larger than average breasts. >And, honestly, the chance at having an actual chesty friend who could commiserate and coordinate awkward bra shopping trips might be nice. >Provided that whatever was affecting Sunset didn’t fade with time. >…Not that she wanted her friend to be stuck that way, just-! >Shaking her head, Fluttershy makes a bold attempt to escape the fruitless spiral of weighing her wants versus the wants of others and drags her eyes downward. >Sunset’s waist certain proves to be the latest focus of whatever is affecting her. >The redhead had benefited from a small waist to begin with, but now her torso stretches a good bit further, making the curves out from Sunset’s slim middle down to her hips that much smoother and easier on the eyes. >And it was her hips that caught Fluttershy’s attention the most. >It isn’t envy- >Well, it is, but only because outside of her large chest, the pink-haired girl’s body is mostly straight lines. >A modest waist leads down to barely there hips, and a poorly proportioned backside. >Not that Fluttershy wants the extra attention that would come with having a bombshell, hourglass figure. >But a little padding never hurt anyone. >At least that’s what Rarity always says when she stuffs her bras. >As Fluttershy wrestles with being on the other side of the awkward feelings regarding body image for once, her phone chirps. >“Is that Rarity?” >Sunset leans over and both girls read the text together. >‘Apologies about the late reply, darling. I’m afraid I can’t do much without having her come back at the Boutique. I will be at school shortly; we can decide what to do then.’ “Oh good.” >Fluttershy heaves a sigh of relief and closes her eyes. “Rarity will know exactly what to do.” >At that moment, the first bell of the day rings. >Ten minutes to class. >“We don’t really have time to wait for Rarity, Fluttershy.” >The anxious teen stares at her growing friend and bites her lip and offers up a sheepish response. “Maybe she’ll drive quickly?” >“We can’t count on that.” >Sunset frowns, looking irritated for a moment before snapping her fingers. >“But maybe you can help me.” “Me?” >The pink-haired girl’s eyes widen. “Oh, no, I couldn’t. I don’t know the first thing about clothes.” >“But you do.” >Reaching out, Sunset squeezes her hand and moves closer. >“You have a knack for not drawing attention to yourself unless it’s necessary.” >With a slight blush, Fluttershy giggles. “That’s a little much. I’m just not a very big presence compared to other people.” >“I know, and I need a little of that now.” >The animal lover frowns and furrows her brow. “Sunset, I can’t teach you how to disappear, not even I can do that.” >“And yet only a handful of girls know that you’ve got two of the largest breasts in school.” >Hooking her finger in the shy girl’s collar, Sunset gives her a playful shake. >Fluttershy squeaks and covers her chest, taking a quick step back and pouting at her still smiling friend. >“Just give me a few tips on how to downplay these changes.” >It takes a long moment, but Fluttershy eventually nods. >Sunset has looked out for her since the Fall Formal, after all. >Even though she tries to stay invisible most of the time, somehow the redhead always seems to know where she is. >It’s a little unnerving, but also heartwarming that someone cares enough to notice her. >For Sunset, in this uncertain time, it’s the least she can do. “Well, first of all we need to let out your top.” >Sunset nods, lifting her arms and letting Fluttershy get to work. >The shirt is longer than what she might usually wear thanks to Rarity’s foresight and so, with a little creative tugging and tucking, they manage to create a somewhat shapeless space between her shoulders and hips. >Granted, anyone looking closely will see the outline of Sunset’s buoyant bust as she walks, but the stiffness of jacket will also help in hiding that. >Unfortunately, its length is only just long enough to reach the upper swell of her hips, leaving Sunset’s skirt to pick up most of the slack. >Despite her rather reserved demeanor, Fluttershy makes the most of the small opportunity she has to run her hands over Sunset’s hips, gently tugging the skirt lower until the waist sits just underneath the top’s hem. “Don’t try to do too many long movements today.” >Fluttershy slides her palms along the redhead’s hips again, smoothing out the wrinkled fabric. >She even gets especially bold and gives the same attention to Sunset’s backside. >Compared to the yielding sensation she feels when squeezing her own breasts, Fluttershy can’t help but marvel at the sensation of pressing against the redhead’s rump. >The muscle is so firm, but also with a gentle layer of smoothness to it. >A girl could get lost in imagining what- >“Fluttershy?” >Looking up at her towering friend with her big green eyes, Fluttershy gulps. “Y-yes?” >“Could you move your hands? The second bell’s going to ring soon.” “Oh.” >Right. >Class. >Of course. >Getting back to her feet, Fluttershy slides her palms against her own skirt and nods. “That’s about all that I can do, I think. If you slouch forward a little, it will help hold everything together, I think.” >Sunset does so, and the shy girl gives a forced smile as the robust contours of the redhead’s body seem to fade further into the background. >What a shame. >At that thought, Fluttershy’s face burns again, and she gives an anxious cough. “Well, I think that’s that. I’m sorry that I can’t do more.” >“You’ve done more than enough.” >Smiling, Sunset reaches out and brushes the tip of Fluttershy’s nose with a smile. >“There, can’t have you going to class with dust on your face, can we?” >The pink haired girl bites her lip as the second bell chimes and Sunset’s eyes widen. >Two minutes to class. >“Thanks again; could I have you text the girls that everything’s okay for right now?” >Fluttershy nods, earning a relieved smile from Sunset as she waves and hurries out the door. >Falling back against the desk, the shy girl sighs and feels all the confidence she had just felt leave her in an instant. >Still, she can’t help but smile as she thinks that she may have actually managed to help her friend. “I just hope that what I’ve done is enough.” >It would have to be. >Picking up her things, Fluttershy moves to her first class of the day, sending a message to the other five that disaster had been averted for the time being. >A good continuation to an otherwise very strange day. >Unfortunately, the good luck doesn’t sustain itself. >About midway through second period, Fluttershy finds herself squirming in her seat. >For some reason, her panties feel frustratingly snug; as though they slid up a little too high. >Resisting the urge to pick at them, the pink-haired girl struggles through her day, waiting for lunch when the seven of them could come together and brainstorm about what to do next. [Twilight 2] “And somehow, things have gotten even worse.” >Twilight groans, burying her face in her hands. >Sunset offers up an awkward smile as she chuckles and squirms against her seat. >“Well, at least we know that Rarity was right about there being room if I needed it?” >The fashionista in question is glaring with far too much intensity at Sunset’s chest, her lip color smearing a little as she threatens to bite through her lip before speaking. >“Of course, but I wasn’t expecting… this.” >With a small flip of her wrist, Rarity slides her hand under Sunset’s jacket and tugs at the corner of her top. >Much to the suddenly flustered firebrand’s dismay. >“No, wait a second!” >All six girls lean in closer and- >Yup. >She’s grown again. >Sunset’s already heavy hangers have now been upgraded to a pair of whoppers. >The redhead pulls away, blushing and smoothing out her jacket. >“Good grief, you all act like you’ve never seen a pair of boobs before.” >“Not like that!” >There goes the rather petite Rainbow. >Scowling, she places her palm on the table. >“You’ve even outclassed Fluttershy! How do you think she feels?” >“Oh, I don’t mind that. As long as Sunset’s happy.” >The shy girl’s input is, as usual, passed over. >But she’s not the only one. >“Sunny, you’re so squishy now!” >While Pinkie Pie takes a few amazed prods at Sunset’s sweater meat, Applejack sighs and turns to Twilight. >“Are we any closer at all to figuring out what the hay is causing this?” “No.” >Sighing in defeat, the Princess of Friendship glares down at the lunch in front of her. >Somehow, her appetite seems absent. >Glancing about, Sunset smiles and tries to rally the six. >“Come on girls, it’s not like we don’t have time to figure out what’s going on with me later. Right now, you should focus on the counter-spell; I’m sure that Twilight’s got one all ready to go.” >A sharp pang twists in the Princess’ gut as six pairs of hopeful eyes turn towards her >Sunset may as well have just slapped reins on her, slapped a bit in her mouth and put up a sign saying ‘Free Rides’ >Best to fake it. “It’s, it’s coming along great. It will definitely be ready by tonight!” >Twilight forces a smile, which seems to placate the girls. >Well, except for one. >As the five human girls go back to talking about the routine, Sunset lifts her tray and moves to sit down beside Twilight. >The purple-haired girl pushes her food around, attempting to look busy, but it doesn’t dissuade Celestia’s former pupil. >“Song magic, it’s a little more difficult than you thought?” >Sunset’s voice is low, low enough that none of the other girls take notice. >Even still, Twilight stays quiet for a long while before putting on her biggest smile. “It’s a challenge, but I’m sure that everything will work out fine. It always does!” >The frown on the redhead’s face deepens as she takes a bite of her lunch. >Swallowing, she turns to Twilight again. >“Hey, what was last night?” “Pardon?” >“You know.” >Sunset glances about and leans a little closer. >“I mean the conversation, not feeling me up.” “I-I wasn’t!” >Twilight’s sputtering draws a bit of attention, but the two pony-girls smile and the rest of their friends go back to discussing other matters. >Taking a deep breath, she turns back to Sunset. “It was, just talking, Sunset. I said that I would help you find out what’s causing your unexpected growth.” >“Well, that’s half of it. The other half is the part where I offered to help you if you ran into trouble with the counter-spell.” >Feeling embarrassment rush to her cheeks, Twilight her head and tries to reassure Sunset, and herself. “The spell’s fine! Perfectly fine!” >A lengthy silence settles in before Sunset sighs and turns back to her tray. >“You shouldn’t lie, Twilight; it’s not a good practice for keeping friends.” >With a few more prods, the Princess mutters back “It’s not a lie, its just turning out to be a little more trouble than I thought it would be.” >“If it comes down to it, will you trust me to help you?” >Twilight glances over at Sunset, who’s staring at her with a fierce intensity. >Sighing, she smiles. “If I need your help, I’ll let you know.” >“I’m counting on you to remember that, Twilight.” >Getting up from the table, Sunset walks over to the trashcan and dumps the rest of her meal. >The sullen Sparkle sinks a little lower in her seat, trying to avoid the eyes of her friends. >Twilight ends up so entangled in the awkward feelings running through her body, that she fails to notice Applejack slip out into the hall after Sunset. [Applejack] >Out in the hall, Applejack reaches out and grabs Sunset by the wrist. >The now taller girl pauses, giving the blonde a curious look, but that doesn’t dissuade AJ from cutting right to the point. “Alright Sugar Cube, you’re sweatin like a chubby piglet when the holidays come around, so spill; what’s eatin you?” >There’s a moment of awkward silence before Sunset sighs and looks back the way that they had come. >“It’s Twilight and the counter-spell.” “I could have figured that out well enough on my own, so why don’t you tell me why?” >“I’m afraid that it won’t be finished in time.” “Are you sayin she can’t?” >“No!” >The gentle crease in Sunset’s forehead disappears as she shakes her head, earning a small smile from Applejack as the redhead continues. >“Twilight’s perfectly capable of crafting a counter spell; I mean, she’s the Princess of Friendship! But-” >Sighing, the growing girl presses her back against the wall and hangs her head. >“Everyone’s so wrapped up in the Dazzling fiasco, then we throw my problem into the mix and it just seems like it’s too much at one time, even for her.” >There’s another pause that Applejack fills with the quiet tap-tap of her boot against the linoleum tile, to which Sunset sighs. >“And I sort of feel like a lump, because the only thing that I’m doing is causing another distraction and not helping out at all.” “That’s what I was looking for.” >AJ gives a gentle laugh and reaches up, squeezing Sunset’s shoulder. “All that other stuff is well and good, but it’s all about results. That last one though, that’s reason enough to be as worked up as you are.” >“I’m not really looking to be consoled, Applejack; I don’t think I’m going to feel better about the situation unless I’m doing something.” >Staring at the ground, Sunset knocks the toes of her boots together a few times. >The blonde sighs, pulling her hand away before putting on a smile. “Now don’t be like that; everything will work out just fine. After all, you even said that Twilight’s a Princess and we’ve got all afternoon to figure out how to wiggle the magic into our music.” >“And if you can’t?” >Sunset’s pointed look causes Applejack to shiver. >It seems almost that the redhead knows more than she’s telling, but Sunset has been incredibly up front during the conversation. >Gulping, AJ asks the question now gnawing away in the pit of her stomach. “You, think that we won’t?” >“I don’t know what to think.” >Sunset sighs, but then smiles. >It’s clearly forced, but the girl is trying. >“Let’s just wait and see for the time being. Maybe I’m wrong and everything will come together beautifully at practice today.” “Yeah, you’re right.” >Applejack smirks. “What’s the worst that could happen? C’mon, we’ve still got a little while to burn before class starts again.” >The two girls walk deeper into the school, perhaps with a little more hope than before. >It wasn’t until several hours after classes let out for the day that they both would come to understand. >The worst, apparently, has come home to roost in the Rainbooms’ wheelhouse. >And shows no signs of leaving. >As the seven friends make their way to the school that night for the first round of the Battle of the Bands, Applejack hangs back and speaks with Sunset again. “That was a disaster.” >“It wasn’t that bad.” >AJ raises an eyebrow. “Excuse me, did you hear Twilight’s counter-spell? We sounded worse than a tom-cat quartet and fought about as much to boot!” >Bringing a hand to her face, the blonde sighs. “I can already see things getting ready to unravel; we’ll be lucky to make it through the Battle of the Bands without having a super-star level break up.” >“Oh yeah, it was bad.” “See? Disaster.” >As AJ sulks, she feels Sunset nudge her elbow into her side. >“All I meant was that a real disaster would have resulted in property damage.” >The two girls exchange looks, Sunset with a sly smile against Applejack’s straight face. >The latter doesn’t last long however, as AJ chuckles and smirks. “I reckon.” >“Besides, it sounds like you all have a plan to buy Twilight some more time and you can use the spell whenever you’re ready.” >Applejack grunts in affirmation while staring down at the space between herself and Sunset. >The five friend’s relationship with the reformed rebel has been an awkward one to say the least. >But AJ likes to think that they have, in some way, managed to help bridge the distance between themselves and the redhead. >Sure, she’s a little difficult and awkward at times, but so are the rest of her friends. >But, most of them aren’t still growing at the most inopportune and impossible times. >Applejack’s eyes roam Sunset’s expanded body for a short while longer before settling around her middle. >It’s not especially surprising, her slim waist and generously long torso are a magnet for appreciative eyes. >And hands as well, no doubt. >Applejack has seen on several occasions how grabby some of Rarity’s would-be suitors can get, and Sunset’s middle now rivals that of the purple-haired fashionista. >There’s also a certain elegance that comes with height as well. >Not that Applejack is short by any means, but her torso is more comparable to short, solid lines than long, sloping curves. >While work pants were easy to find, the absence of a feminine did very little for her self-confidence in a dress. >And it wasn’t like she didn’t like to get gussied up every once in a while. “If only…” >“Hm?” >AJ stares at the inquisitive Sunset for a moment before clapping a hand over her mouth. >Shoot! >Forcing a smile and a laugh, Applejack shrugs. “Sorry, just got a lot on my mind.” >“I think we all do.” >Canterlot High appears in the distance, and the other girls pick up the pace. >As Applejack moves to follow, Sunset reaches out and takes her hand. >“AJ.” >The blonde turns to the rather stern looking pony-girl. “Wuzzat look about?” >“I don’t know if I can do much, but I’ll talk with the other girls; see if we can’t alleviate some of the concerns about the band falling apart before the showcase ends.” >A smile dances across Applejack’s lips as she chuckles. “Well that’s mighty kind of ya. I know that it’ll be a weight off my mind if I know we can stay together.” >“And.” >AJ raises an eyebrow. >“I don’t want to think like this, but I might need you help me convince Twilight that she doesn’t have to carry the weight of the counter-spell on her own. Will you?” >This smile is somehow wider than any of the others and Applejack nods her head. “Mm, you’re a good friend, Sunset. Now c’mon! The other girls are waitin!” >Squeezing the redhead’s hand, AJ takes off towards campus. >If only she could have held onto that confidence. >The Rainbooms’ first public performance ends in disaster. >And a real disaster, complete with property damage. >As she stands in the midst of the partially ruined stage, Applejack sighs. >In the background, the other girls bicker and snap at each other. >She’s thrown in a few good shots herself, but has since resigned herself to sulking. >And to top it all off, her bass strap feels off. >Like it’s not allowing the instrument to hang in a place that’s comfortable for her to play. >Sighing, the blonde looks back at her fighting friends. >She is not looking forward to tomorrow’s rounds. >Or the inevitable spats that will arise as the girls spend another night together. [Twilight 3] >In all honesty, a part of Twilight hopes that she won’t wake up. >Or at least, that she won’t wake up in Pinkie Pie’s bedroom. >After the horrible showing at the first round last night, much of her hope feels as though it has been squashed under the Dazzling’s boots. >If only she could stay asleep. >Or better still, wake up back in Equestria and find out that this is all a dream. >No Dazzlings. >No Sunset Shimmer suffering from abnormal bouts of growth. >Just a nice quiet morning where Spike will bring her tea and- >“WAHAHA!” >Well, so much for that. >Opening her eyes, Twilight blinks the morning light away a few times. >As the ceiling comes into focus, it becomes clear from the scattered bed sheets, blankets, and pillows, that something has gone wrong. >Horribly wrong. >The still dazed Princess pushes herself up from her sleeping spot to see Spike wagging his tail, a concerned crease running down the middle of his forehead. >“It’s about time, Twilight.” >The traveler brings a hand to her face and sighs. “Just tell me it isn’t Sunset.” >“It’s Sunset.” >Twilight groans and closes her eyes. >“And Rarity, and Fluttershy, and Applejack too.” >What? “What?” >Stumbling to her feet, Twilight follows after the scampering Spike until they reach an open room. >And Twilight gapes at the sight in front of her. >“Oh, Twilight, darling! You will never believe what happened!” >Rarity squeals, bouncing on the balls of her feet in excitement and jiggling. >Rarity. >JIGGLING. >Twilight stammers for a response as her formerly flat friend snaps the measuring tape in her hand closed. >With a smile, Rarity pushes the slightly less than lewd handfuls of her chest outward. >“Would you look at this figure? I feel like I could take on the world!” >She does a quarter turn to the right and shows off her profile, even going so far as to thread her fingers behind her head for a little extra oomph. >And what an oomph it is, enough to cause Twilight to stumble back in surprise. >Right into another body >A rather solid frame, to be precise. >“Woah there, Sugar Cube.” >Tilting her head back, Twilight looks up. >And up, and up, enough so that her throat feels dry, as though each time her ey s climb higher, the air itself was getting thinner. “A-Applejack?” >The blonde taps a finger against her temple and winks at the smaller Twilight. >“Eeyup.” >Twilight turns and takes in her towering friend, noting that the extra height seems to be situated around her middle, if the pajama top turned belly-shirt is any indication. >It cuts off right below her modest chest, showcasing a broad expanse of toned and gently tanned flesh; with just a spattering of freckles for variety. >The farm girl’s waist cinches inward at a gentle angle, giving her already robust pear shape the illusion of a smooth, seamless curve. >All things said, the once second tallest of the group would now likely stand a noticeable distance above the rest of them. >Gulping, Twilight looks up into Applejack’s eyes and shakes off the stunned sensation ringing about in between her ears. “What about Fluttershy? Where is she?” >“Oh, the poor dear.” >Rarity sighs, drawing Twilight’s attention back to her. >“It seems that she popped the seams on her skirt when she tried to put it on this morning. Needless to say, she’s somewhat distraught, but Pinkie Pie is taking care of finding her a replacement until the four of us can get back to the Boutique and make an adjustment to our wardrobes.” “…four?” >“Oh yes, Twilight.” >Rarity brings a hand to her mouth and smiles. >“But I must say that Sunset is in much better spirits than yesterday. She’s with Pinkie and Fluttershy.” >Twilight sighs, turning back to Spike who, after tearing his rapt attention away from the now modestly busty Rarity, leads her to another section of the house. >A series of quick thumps overhead draws her up to the attic, where Pinkie Pie is bouncing from one corner to the next, rooting through all manner of piles, boxes, and crates. >“Now where did we put the winter clothing? I know that it was-” >A step creaks under Twilight’s weight as she approaches the landing, and the frizzy haired girl turns her attention to the Princess. >“Morning Twilight!” >“Good, morning.” >Fluttershy stands in a corner, rocking from side to side with her hands behind her back, doubtlessly trying to cover up her expanded backside. >But even from the front, there’s very little that the pink-haired girl can do to hide the wider swell of her hips. >Where once there had been a top-heavy girl who might tip over at a moment’s notice, there now stands a more evenly balanced figure, though it’s apparently done little for her self-confidence. >But, as much as Twilight would like to examine her friend more, it’s the third member of the group who catches her eye. >And again, the intelligent Princess freezes. >Scratch any thoughts of Applejack being the tallest; even as she’s hunched over to avoid the sloped roof, it’s very clear that Sunset is in the same range as the towering Principal Celestia, if not already past her. >The pajama top from yesterday has now been cut in such a way that it covers the more intimate parts of Sunset’s chest; but only just, as the girl has a great deal of underboob visible, somehow remaining in place despite all reason saying they should spill out into the open air. >Likewise, her generous shoulders, torso and longer legs seem to stretch forever vertically, and are certainly not a slouch horizontally either. >While Sunset has grown up and out, her waist is still comparatively slim, leaving Twilight’s clumsy fingers twitching in the air. >It takes a moment for her to realize why. >She wants to touch her. >Almost more than anything else in the world, the usually modest Princess wants to drag her fingertips along Sunset’s exposed middle, down the welcoming curves from her bust to her hips, and even beyond! >But, with a shake of her head and a stern resolve, Twilight steadies herself and tries not to get distracted by the pajama bottoms that are now riding up close to Sunset’s knees. “So.” >And then she blanks. >What a wash. >Sunset offers a smile and blushes. >“So…” >Another moment of silence as Twilight gathers her thoughts. “I’m pretty sure we’re dealing with magic.” >“I’d agree with you on that.” “And that it affects others who have been exposed to Equestrian magic.” >Sunset nods, her expression turning serious. >Crossing her arms over her chest, Twilight brings a finger to her chin. “But what I don’t understand is how the transmission works. I mean, you spent time together with Rarity and Fluttershy yesterday, but nothing has happened to me.” >Just to be sure, the Princess gives herself a once over. >Nope, still Twiggy Twilight. >There’s a slight pang of irritation at the thought, but she shakes it off quickly. “And Applejack had no more exposure than either Rainbow Dash, or Pinkie Pie.” >Sunset’s lips press together in a thin line as she sighs. >“Actually, I spent a lot of time talking with AJ yesterday. After lunch, and again before we made it to CHS.” >Twilight’s eyes widen as she smacks her hand into her palm. “So there is a connection!” >With another bob of her head, Sunset cocks a hand on her hip. >“But that still doesn’t tell us why things are happening the way that they are. At this rate, Rarity, Applejack, or Fluttershy might get worse tomorrow, or even throughout the day like I have been. How are you going to explain why Rarity’s buttons keep flying off in class, much less keep the magic a secret from the Dazzlings?” >Twilight frowns, tapping her foot a few times. “Over the past twenty-four hours, you’ve gone through four major spurts: one you noticed when you woke up, the second after going to the Boutique with Rarity, your time with Fluttershy, and then sometime in the night after talking to Applejack.” >“So, somehow being in contact with the girls is making them grow?” “I don’t believe so; if it were simply proximity, then I would have been affected as well.” >Sunset nods, looking thoughtful for a moment. >“In that case, we need to narrow down what’s causing these changes in the first place. Which means…” >With a frown, the Princess of Friendship looks away. “Which means, now that we know what we’re looking for, we’ll need to have a test subject.” >“It can’t be anyone who’s already been exposed; we don’t know how it will affect them, and it might make their situation more awkward.” “And, for whatever reason, I’m not being affected by it.” >“So that leaves two. But Rainbow Dash isn’t back from her morning run yet…” >Both girls pause and look to the still prancing Pinkie Pie. >At once, the girl stops, one leg propped up in the air, showcasing her rather robust rump. >It’s no wonder that she was the one chosen to find a fitting skirt for Fluttershy. >As though feeling the four eyes on her, Pinkie turns her head towards them with a smile. >“So, is it finally my turn?”
